Finish Subtitles for a Local Audio or Video File
Import a local audio or video file into Caption, generate timed subtitles, revise the words and timeline, then export the subtitle file or create a new video with the subtitles burned in.
Generate timed subtitles
Choose a local media file and start subtitle generation. Caption places the text on a timeline so each line stays tied to its moment in the audio or video.
Revise the text and timing
Play the media, open each subtitle at its time, correct the words, and adjust the start and end times.
Export the finished result
Export the subtitle file for continued editing or delivery. Choose burn-in when the final video needs fixed subtitles. Save the session to reopen and search the work later.
Common uses
- courses and training videos;
- podcasts and interviews;
- demos and presentations;
- long audio and video kept for later search.
